What is ablip?
ablip is a place for random thoughts, observations, questions and images — things you might not have been looking for, but might be glad you found.
It might be useful.
It might be funny.
It might be completely pointless.
It might unexpectedly say exactly what you needed to hear.
We don’t know which is which. That’s partly the point.
Something on your mind?
Sometimes you look for an answer. Sometimes something simply catches your eye.
ablip gives you a handful of meaningless little doodles. Pick one. Behind it is a random blip.
The doodle doesn’t mean anything. Neither does your choice — at least, not to us. We don’t know what was on your mind, and we don’t need to.
What you make of the blip is entirely up to you.
Why ablip?
The universe is big.
Really big.
Earth is a tiny point in the vastness of space.
A human life is an even tinier point in the vastness of time.
And yet, somehow, every little thing that happens to us feels enormous while we’re inside it.
Then time passes. The problem changes. Something else happens.
And eventually, most things become what they probably were all along:
a blip.
What is here?
There are blips — thoughts that don’t need much room.
There are blobs — when a blip needs a little more room.
And there is photography — when a blip needs no words.
There is no particular order. There isn’t supposed to be.
What is a blip?
A blip is a small, temporary change, interruption or problem that doesn’t last long and doesn’t matter much in the bigger picture.
At least, that’s one definition.
We like ours better.
